Jo Bareham I have been practicing since 2005 as a Reflexologist and Nutritional Therapist and am based in Haywards Heath where I live with my husband and daughter.
I hold a BSc (Hons) Food Science and Raworth, C&G, ITEC and IIHHT qualifications for nutrition and reflexology. I am also a member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR).
As well as working with individuals I also run workshops and talks and provide corporate consultancy services to companies. I currently offer home visits for reflexology as well as onsite at various companies.
Throughout my career I have worked with food in many different ways and it seemed a natural progression to study Nutrition. I originally started my career in the catering industry and then decided to go to University and study Food Science. After completing my degree I went to work as a Product Development Technologist for Unilever. I worked at Unilever for five years in a number of functions ranging from QA to Project Management. During this time I suffered greatly with stress as a result of a company merger, which resulted in me being made redundant. This came at a time when I knew I could no longer handle working in the rat race and I decided to refocus. I turned to complementary therapies myself and over a period of time found them very healing, particularly Reflexology.
I feel well placed to advise individuals on stress management through diet, lifestyle and the immense relaxation reflexology can bring. Also given my direct experience of working in a competitive corporate atmosphere, this gives me a unique insight into the pressures associated with this type of environment.
